Ghanaian highlife artiste, Quarme Zaggy known for hits such as Just the Two of Us, See Saw, Bohye, Temi Mole and others has landed an international distribution deal with Amuse. Amuse is a Sweden-based company which has links to all the major music platforms like iTunes, Spotify and most of the other internationally recognized streaming sites.
As part of the deal, Amuse International would promote the works of Quarme Zaggy on about 200 platforms including iTunes etc and get him paid. In an exclusive interview with Quarme Zaggy, he confirmed the deal and revealed that any time he releases any new song, he would have to send it to Amuse which would in turn ensure that the song is distributed to all the major music platforms all over the world adding that with this deal, he could decide to opt out whenever he decides not to continue with the deal again.
According to Quarme, the representatives of Amuse who were in the country some days back, decided to sign the deal with him due to the fact they had been monitoring him for sometime and realized that he had so many fans abroad who loved his songs but could not find his songs on major music platforms. He also noted that per the deal, he would not be receiving any cash soon but as and when the time is ripe, he would do so on his MTN Mobile wallet.
When Flex Newspaper got in touch with Amuse, the Chief Executive officer (CEO), Diego Farias formerly of Warner Music Group, he also confirmed the deal with Quarme Zaggy but declined to give further details as they would want to put certain things in place first and then take steps to publicize their activities to the Ghanaian media when they return to Ghana in some months time.
