One of the most misunderstood and misused spiritual word is the term "Christian". Yeah it's a spiritual word. Why do some people act as Christians on Sundays and jerks the rest of the week?
They misunderstood the word they call themselves. People say "I am a Christian" because they go to church on Sundays yet that person walks not with God daily. No fruits of the spirit as evidence. The word Christian is simply Christlike but most of us are so far away from being like Christ. We are more Shatta_Wale_like than Christlike. More Beyonce-like than Christ like. More Christ-Brown like than Christlike. We seem to want to be more like them than like Christ because Christ has been taken out of the word Christianity leaving it to Churchianity. The -fool- and -club- any- day -and -go- to -church -on- Sunday attitude.
We dye our hairs like our favourite celebs and no one wants to be like Christ. "Am not saying don't look good"
Am saying dont choose to be any man other than Christ if you call yourself a Christian.
So are you a Christian ?
Are you Christ like?
Can you call yourself that?
We want God to draw us closer to Him but we don't want to draw closer to Him but the Bible says
Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to thee.
God would take that big step with His big Feet if you take that little step.
A call to repentance and reconciliation.
May God make us hungry for His Presence.
